Alice Walther

Alice provides senior leadership for client engagements and relationships, with a focus on strategy and planning. Having guided organizations through strategic planning and implementation for more than two decades, she brings deep experience in crafting strategy that results in improved operational effectiveness and performance.

Alice is able to quickly delve into complex organizations to understand their values, vision and operational challenges. A strong systems thinker, Alice is an expert at management and organization of complex projects and major change initiatives. In addition to her client work, Alice provides executive leadership for Clarus and is instrumental in the development of Clarus’ service approach.

Alice has worked with a number of non-profit and volunteer agencies in the community including as Past-President of the Board of Directors of Childcare Resources. She is the mother of one son who enjoys a myriad of creative pursuits including drawing, painting and design.


Previous Experience

Prior to joining Clarus, Alice owned a consulting firm in Birmingham and Boston, concentrating on strategic planning for non-profit and university clients. Previously, Alice served as the director of strategic planning and led coordinated strategic planning efforts for nine years at Tulane University. A highlight of her tenure at Tulane included the development of an innovative campus master planning system.
