The Critical Questions:
  • Is your staff aligned with the goals of your organization?
  • Are the right people in the right places?
  • Are there significant gaps or unnecessary duplications of effort?
  • Does your organizational structure support your current goals?
  • Does work flow smoothly across departmental lines?
The Clarus Approach:
  • We begin our work by making sure we have an accurate evaluation. One of the tools we use is a proprietary interview process that begins with the development of the right questions. Then we engage key stakeholders in interviews that stimulate thinking, clarify issues, and build buy-in. The outcome is a clear identification of areas of consensus, of disagreement and where further evaluation is in order. As a result, our work can be focused and targeted.
  • Every client has its own history, culture, issues and goals. The structure of the organization inevitably reflects the personalities of its leadership. Therefore, there is no standard process that suits every project. We tailor our processes to address each clientÕs specific situation, bearing in mind that changes to one component of an organization impact others as well.

"Clarus was an essential member of the planning team, helping to make the Red Mountain Park planning process a success. The Clarus team provided logistical and strategic support at every step and helped connect us with the Birmingham community, freeing us to focus on our work as master planners."
